Premiere Neighborhoods

It is inevitable that people will visit Alexander City and Lake Martin and find they want the magic of it to be part of their lives permanently. Although much of the shoreline is still owned by Alabama Power, large portions of the lake are dotted with waterfront homes, ranging from rustic cabins to opulent showplaces.  The largest, and most distinctive community of lakeside residences is Russell Lands On Lake Martin, includes several neighborhoods, such as The Ridge, Willow Glynn, Windermere and Willow Point, which surrounds the private Willow Point Golf & Country Club. Although residential development didn’t begin until the 1970s, the history of this community goes back more than 100 years and evolved from the land holdings of the Russell family.
