Manufacturing

Alexander City has all of the infrastructure and other resources to support the manufacturing industry.  Not only has Alabama been able to attract the latest in automotive manufacturers; but Alexander City has deep history in textiles.  The majority of textile plants in the south, including Alexander City’s plants, have since moved their production facilities off shore creating available space and labor in the manufacturing sectors.  This has created a tremendous opportunity for industry moving to our area, proven by the recent surge in new industry emerging in Alexander City.

There are a handful of tier 1 and tier 2 automotive suppliers in our area in addition to some more unusual categories of industry.
