One of the many exciting groups the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce sponsors is our Junior Ambassador program.

Since the inception of the Junior Ambassador program, it has been our goal to create interest in service to the community by offering local students the opportunity to become involved with Chamber activities, and learn about the business community. In addition to being involved in community service oriented projects, these young people also participate in a wide range of chamber events including: The Grand Weekend, Holiday Open House, Hometown Christmas Parade, Professional Development Summit, governmental affairs luncheons, and various activities designed to promote Alexander City and the Lake Martin area.

Applicants for the Junior Ambassador program must maintain a cumulative scholastic average of 80, compose an essay, go through a formal interview process, and be free of parental or marital obligations to be considered for the program. Interviews are held in the Spring prior to graduation and announcements will be made with all of the necessary details. All students going into the 10 th and 11 th grades, who follow the above qualifications, are encouraged to apply.
