Customer Service Specialist
Answer office phone and handle calls as appropriately requested being sure to realize that the position is the first voice of the community and should at all times be positive and helpful.
Maintain daily operation of the office including incoming and outgoing mail, office supplies and assist with technical setup for any meetings in the various conference rooms. Ability to understand facility technology is a must.
Ability to answer all questions regarding Chamber functions and operations as well as provide detailed tours of the Lake Martin Innovation Center.
Assist Membership Director with ribbon cuttings for new members including scheduling the event, communicating the event to the marketing partners of the chamber and the Marketing Director, securing the supplies needed for the ribbon cutting, and insuring the information is properly reported to the local paper.
Assist on special projects as they arise on behalf of the chamber.
Provide support to all chamber special events included but not limited to securing sponsorships, selling tickets, assisting chamber staff in execution, and any necessary team function to insure the success of events.
Interact with board members and committees as necessary.
Timely answer email request and any state generated request for information about our community.
May be called upon to assist with special projects and assume responsibility for the development, administration, and promotion of specific projects, as required.
Skills Needed: Working knowledge of computers in a Windows environment
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
