Alexander City Cruise In
First Saturday of the Month April - September
Car enthusiasts cruise in the neon lights during the first Saturday of the month during April through September. The cruisers meet in the Arby's parking lot on Highway 280 at 6:00 p.m.

Alex. City Jazz Fest
June 11 - 12
Alexander City 's most celebrated event will be held Friday, June 11in downtown Alexander City , and Saturday, June 12 at the Lake Martin Amphitheater overlooking beautiful Lake Martin . Jazz enthusiasts love this two-day festival, which is free to the public. Contact the Chamber of Commerce for a complete list of artists and times of performances.

Fourth of July Fireworks over Lake Martin
July 4
Thousands of boats assemble in Kowaliga Bay for the annual fireworks extravaganza. Best viewing on land is at the Lake Martin amphitheater at Children's Harbor off of Highway 63 near Kowaliga Marina. The display begins at dusk.
Other Fourth of July events include “A Blast From the Past” music concert, a boat parade at Kowaliga and a golf cart parade at Wind Creek State Park .

Battle of Horseshoe Bend anniversary
August 24
The famous military park comes alive in history to commemorate the March 27, 1814 anniversary. Live cannon fire and an encampment of Creek Indians and military feature demonstration and re-enactment's on August 24, 2004 muster on Tallapoosa River .

Oktoberfest
October 30
An annual favorite, Oktoberfest features arts and crafts, great food, entertainment, children's activities, and much more. Oktoberfest will be held in the Charles E. Bailey Sportplex on Saturday, October 30.

Holiday Open House
November 14
An annual treat for four decades Holiday Open House attracts visitors from across the Lake Martin area. Shoppers anxiously await Sunday, November 14 as local businesses open their doors and showcase the season's most festive Christmas decorations and merchandise.

Hometown Christmas Parade
December 6
One of East Alabama 's largest parades, the Hometown Christmas Parade winds through town on Monday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. . Elaborate floats, dancing groups, marching bands, horse units and Santa Claus highlight this event.
