About the Chamber

The mission of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce is to initiate, develop, market, promote and sustain quality economic and community development for the Alexander City and Lake Martin areas.  The Chamber is an association of businesses, professionals and citizens engaged in collective efforts to promote the welfare of the community.  The Chamber is a service-oriented, not-for-profit business which implements its programs through the financial support of approximately 400 members.  Founded in 1910 by the late Benjamin Russell, the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce has been in constant operation for 100 years, and in its current location since 1978.  The Alexander City Chamber of Commerce has been a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce since 1921, and is an active member of the Business Council of Alabama, and the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama.
